Ugoevo Care Foundation Strengthens Partnership with FIDA Imo and Abia State Chapters
Ugoevo Care Foundation has strengthened its commitment to protecting vulnerable women, adolescent mothers and children through strategic partnerships with the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Imo State and Abia State Chapters.
The engagements provided an opportunity for the Foundation to formally connect with the leadership of FIDA in both states and explore areas of mutual interest in advancing the rights, protection and wellbeing of vulnerable members of society.
As part of the engagements, the Chairpersons of FIDA Imo State and FIDA Abia State Chapters endorsed Ugoevo Care Foundation as a partner, affirming their willingness to work alongside the Foundation in areas that align with their respective mandates.
The partnership is particularly significant given the Foundation’s growing focus on vulnerable adolescent mothers, children, women experiencing hardship, persons with disabilities and other individuals who may face barriers to justice, protection and social inclusion.
Through collaboration with FIDA, Ugoevo Care Foundation seeks to strengthen its capacity to respond to issues involving women’s rights, child protection, access to justice, gender-based violence, reproductive rights and the protection of vulnerable persons.
The Foundation recognises that meaningful protection requires more than humanitarian assistance. Vulnerable people also need access to information, legal support, advocacy and institutions capable of protecting their rights. The partnership with FIDA therefore represents an important step in building a stronger network of organisations committed to ensuring that vulnerable people are not left without a voice or support.
Ugoevo Care Foundation looks forward to translating these partnerships into practical interventions that promote dignity, justice, protection and empowerment across communities in Imo, Abia and beyond.
