Ugoevo Care Foundation Strengthens Human Rights Collaboration Through Engagement with National Human Rights Commission
Ugoevo Care Foundation has continued to expand its commitment to the protection of vulnerable people and the promotion of human rights through an engagement with the National Human Rights Commission, Imo State Chapter.
The engagement formed part of the Foundation’s efforts to build stronger institutional partnerships with organisations and government agencies whose mandates align with its work in protecting vulnerable individuals and promoting dignity, inclusion and social justice.
During the visit, the MD of Ugoevo Care Foundation, Mrs. Evangeline Iwundi and other delegates, were warmly received by the Commission’s leadership in Imo5d State.
Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest and opportunities for collaboration in advancing human rights and supporting vulnerable members of society. The engagement provided an opportunity for both organisations to explore how their respective strengths could complement one another in addressing issues affecting vulnerable populations, particularly women, adolescent mothers, children, persons living with disabilities and other individuals who may face discrimination, abuse, exclusion or limited access to opportunities.
Ugoevo Care Foundation believes that meaningful social impact cannot be achieved by one organisation working alone. Strong partnerships between civil society organisations, government institutions and other stakeholders are essential for creating interventions that are more effective, coordinated and sustainable.
The Foundation’s engagement with the National Human Rights Commission represents an important step toward strengthening its human rights and protection work in Imo State.
Going forward, Ugoevo Care Foundation looks forward to developing practical areas of collaboration that will contribute to greater awareness of human rights, improved protection mechanisms and stronger support for vulnerable individuals and communities.
The Foundation remains committed to using partnerships as a platform for turning compassion into meaningful action.
