Ugoevo Care Foundation Empowers Indigent Persons Through Livelihood and Digital Support Initiative

Ugoevo Care Foundation has strengthened its commitment to supporting vulnerable and indigent members of society through an empowerment intervention that provided practical assistance to some beneficiaries in March 2026.
The initiative was designed to help individuals facing economic hardship access the resources they needed to improve their livelihoods, start income generating activities and pursue new opportunities.
As part of the intervention, two female beneficiaries received a generator and an electric sewing machine respectively, to support and strengthen their existing business, helping to address one of the practical challenges affecting the sustainability of her enterprise.

Another female beneficiary received financial capital to establish a small business. The support was intended to provide her with a starting point for economic independence and create an opportunity to build a sustainable source of income.

Another female beneficiary received a mobile phone to support her entry into content creation. Recognising the growing opportunities available through digital platforms, the Foundation’s intervention seeks to give her the basic tool required to develop her skills, create content and explore potential digital income opportunities. The three interventions reflect Ugoevo Care Foundation’s approach to empowerment, which goes beyond temporary relief by providing beneficiaries with practical resources capable of supporting longer term self reliance.

The Foundation believes that vulnerable individuals should not only receive assistance during difficult moments, but should also be given opportunities and tools that enable them to become more productive and economically independent.

Through initiatives such as this, Ugoevo Care Foundation continues to pursue its commitment to care, empowerment and transformation, particularly among vulnerable individuals and communities.
